The people behind our service have been carrying out surgical hair transplants since 1974. In those days the technology was not as advanced and punch grafts were the only methods available. We attempted to reduce the size of these grafts as they did not have a very natural look. In 1979 we perfected micro grafts in our Brisbane Clinic.
Hair lifts were first carried out in Australia in 1978. We were the first to perform this surgery and as far as our records show, only the second in the world...
In 1990 a group of specialists with 12 years experience got together to form an organization for the specific purpose to improve and research hair restoration.
They invested money with the C.S.I.R.O., and a Sydney university, looking into methods of improving hair restoration. Further to this, they looked at instruments, knowledge of natural hairlines and making it relatively simple and easy to have hair thickened, rejuvenated and transplanted, aiming for a look that was natural and didn't leave bad scarring or 'tufty' hair.
Today we have experience in thousands of successful procedures with results up to 98% hair growth through the bulb implantation technique and have carried out successful procedures on people between 18 and 85.
